There are plenty of sites out there with all sorts of goodies ready to put on your web site with very little effort. Here are some places I've used:
- Expedia Maps -
Show people what area you live in. (See it on the "Local Stuff" page of my
site).
- Bravenet Web
Services - They have an ever increasing range of goodies
including guest books (See my
guestbook), counters (on my Home
Page, vote casters ("Rate
this page" of my site), chat rooms (I have one
here!), cartoons, site searches, greeting card hosting,
etc...
- 7am.com - You can get
things like a clock, so people can see what time it is in your
part of the world. They also have a news ticker, which is a bar
that scrolls over to show the latest news headlines.(See one on my
Local Stuff section of this
site.)
- ICQ
Message Panel - Visitors to your site can see if you
are online and can leave a message.

Horoscope - Have a daily horoscope for your site! I have
on my Home Page.
- HyperGames -
Classic games for your visitors to enjoy.
- All mixed up - More
classic games to link to. I have some linked to my
Fun page.
- Search tool
- So people can do a quick search for a specific thing on
your site. I have one on my Home Page.
- Fun cursors! -
Choose the cursor you want for your pages. I did have one on my
home page, but it slowed down the loading time quite considerably
so I took it off. It was very effective though! Just not worth it
for my page.
